Group Meditation Meeting

Ayurveda is a system of knowledge about bringing your physical body into balance with Nature. The source of Ayurveda is the ancient wisdom of the Veda, the same source that our Vedic Meditation technique originates from, as does the physical yoga asana (postures) we are familiar with in the west. At this group meeting I will introduce the basics of Ayurveda wellness.

These meetings are a great way to keep connected to your practice, enjoy a lovely group meditation and discuss some beautiful Vedic inspired knowledge. I open these meetings to all of my meditation students, students of other VM/TM teachers, and to anyone simply interested to find out more about meditation.

Rounding Masterclass (Newport)

ROUNDING MASTERCLASS

Pre-req: A regular VM/TM practice


Rounding is an ancient and advanced Vedic technique to deeply rejuvenate the mind and body, release stress and expand consciousness.

It is a set of simple yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), meditation, and rest, to release deep stress, tension and fatigue. Take your practice to the next level by opening yourself up for a deeper meditation experience and cultivate an amazing sense of clarity and joy in the mind. It can become part of your existing meditation practice taking between 45-60 minutes as an all-inclusive home practice.

The Rounding Masterclass will be 3 hours and will include personal instruction, and the opportunity to practice so you will leave armed with the knowledge to integrate the technique into your home practice. At the end we will share a nourishing Ayurvedic meal and discuss our experiences. You can register your interest here.

THE JOURNEY INWARD

Group Meditation Meeting

We will check in on your meditation practice, answer any questions and enjoy a lovely group meditation. We will chat about the journey of meditating that can take us in all kinds of directions of expansion and contraction but mostly a journey inward. The Veda tells us this subtle inward work is about finding the light within. But this light is covered by layers or sheaths known as the Maya Koshas. The first layer is the physical body, then there is the energetic or layer of breath/prana, then the mind/ego/intellect, then wisdom/intuition and finally the bliss or the light. Come find your light!

As always I am opening this meeting to all of my meditation students, students of other VM and TM teachers, and to anyone simply interested to find out more about meditation.

We will check in on our meditation practice, answer any questions and enjoy a lovely group meditation. This month we will chat about how to lean into discomfort and how to let go. In other words, how to get comfortable with the uncomfortable, rather than avoiding, and how to surrender to it. Exploring the idea of acceptance and that sometimes it is ok not to be ok, realising that this awareness is usually a sign of growth as we continue our committed twice daily meditation practice.
